Password protection: A whole new ball game with Google Apps

Password protection is another one of those subtle but powerful changes introduced by Google Docs & Spreadsheets.
In the bad old days, if I wanted to email you a confidential spreadsheet, I would password protect it, pick up the phone and call you to give you the password, you would write it down, etc., etc.
Now, you just specify who you want to collaborate with by simply entering their email address, and you are done. Your spreadsheet is automatically protected, since you can’t access it without logging into Google. And nobody else can get to it unless you invited them. It’s a beautiful thing!
