Google Apps and the selective perception of human brains

Businesspundit used this picture in a really interesting post about “The selective perception of human brains: why startups often beat the big boys.”

In the picture on the left, some people see an old woman. Others see a young woman. It got me thinking about what often happens when I try to explain to people who are stuck in the Microsoft world of Office, Outlook, Exchange and Sharepoint that the Google Apps platform is not simply a replacement for those products - it’s a completely different way of thinking. But in order to “get it”, you have to adjust your perception. Just like you need to change your perception to “get” these 2 images.
