Bad news for students: Google Apps ends the “dog ate my homework” excuse

August 26th, 2007 Posted in Google Apps

I think the modern equivalent of “the dog ate my homework” is “Windows got its knickers in a twist so I can’t retrieve my homework from my computer”.

I dropped my son off at Grinnell College this weekend and got into a discussion about how Google Apps dramatically changes student academic life. Students can now get access to their work from any computer at any time, they can easily collaborate with their groups, teachers can monitor progress and easily insert comments, documents can easily be made available without printing, uploading or emailing.

No wonder so many educational institutions are flocking to Google Apps.
